Makhana, also called fox nut, lotus seed or gorgon nut, is the popped seed of Euryale ferox, a water lily grown in the wetlands of Bihar, India. It is a light, crunchy, plant-based snack that is naturally gluten-free and low in fat.
We export raw makhana in three size grades: 6+ Suta (Jumbo, approx. 19 mm and above), 5 Suta (Premium, approx. 16–19 mm) and 4 Suta (Classic, approx. 12–16 mm). We also supply roasted and flavoured makhana, makhana flour and private label packs.
